The Concord -- My Favorite Belltown Condominium. 2929 1st Avenue.

I love the Concord. After more than a decade in real estate, this 2000 built condominium project continues to be my favorite building in Belltown. It’s timeless in style and delivers beyond the expectations of owners. I have clients who sold their first unit there (a second home in the south tower) for the exact floor plan with a bigger view in the north tower. That speaks volumes about the building especially considering that they explored newer buildings in Belltown and decided the Concord was still their condo of choice.

This 13-story building with twin towers was designed by Driscoll Architects and constructed by PCL Construction.  Located on the north end of Belltown and only two blocks from the Olympic Sculpture Park, the Concord offers a diverse selection of floor plans including studios, one bedroom, one bedroom plus den, two bedroom and penthouse suites. The finishes are high end – slab granite countertops, pro-series stainless steel appliances, gas cooking, European shaker style cabinets, glass breakfast bar with halogen accent lighting, multi-room sound, soaker bathtubs in spacious bathrooms and Kohler plumbing. All of the units have oversized windows that maximize light and views, high speed internet and access to decks or balconies with the penthouse units enjoying their own private roof deck. This stunning Art Deco style building is constructed of concrete and steel featuring lots of glass and two landscaped water features that dynamically grace the front entrance on 1st Avenue.

The amenities are fantastic. They start outside the building with an advanced electronic security system. Inside, the Concord spoils with 24/7 Concierge, marble entry lobby with contemporary seating, artwork & fireplace, a state-of-the art fitness center, indoor spa with sauna and hot tub, business center with internet access and printers, media room large flat screen TV and kitchen, guest rooms and more. Owners enjoy deeded storage and parking in the secure garage.

When the Concord was built, presales were originally priced between $155,000 and $665,000 for the various floor plans from studio units to two bedrooms.  Build-to-suite penthouses were priced separately from $840,000 to $1,089,000 (which also included two parking spaces).

The Concord continues to be competitive in the Belltown condo market. If I were to move from my home on Queen Anne to Belltown, this would be my building of choice. As it is, I’m delighted that my clients are friends allowing me the opportunity to enjoy leisure time in this fantastic Belltown building (thanks pals, you know who you are!).
