A VERY fun fact regarding the EMP Museum at Seattle Center...

"If you made a typical steel guitar "E" (first) string from the steel in
EMP, it would be 1.6 million miles long - enough to circle the Earth 65
times. If you made it into the lightest banjo string, you could stretch it
1/4 of the way to the planet Venus. Twang! The data cable installed in the building could wrap around the earth!"

Thank you for this fabulous and fun fact, empmuseum.org!

Photo Tribute to Seattle's Fun Forest.

For the first time since the 1962 World’s Fair, the Fun Forest is no longer an entertainment option for visitors to the Seattle Center.  January 2nd marked the last day to enjoy the iconic amusement park that’s delighted tourists and residents alike for almost fifty years. Everything from the Fun Forest – EVERYTHING -- is for sale. If you’re interested go to Fun Forest @ Seattle Center on Facebook.

What’s to come in its place? A local radio station and a 44000 Sq. Ft. exhibition center for Dale Chuhuly’s art glass. In the meantime, here’s some photos from a walk to the Fun Center today. Thanks for the memories!
